Why Stavanger?
- Stavanger, Norway's energy capital has been the main centre for the development of Norway as an oil and energy nation for the past forty years.
- Stavanger is home to 38 percent of Norwegian oil service companies. The majority have their headquarters here, such as the largest Norwegian oil company, Statoil.
- Stavanger Forum is the largest conference and exhibition centre in the region. The conference centre holds 25 meeting rooms with a capacity from 2 to 1707 pax and five multi-purpose halls with a total of 15 000 m2
- Stavanger has proudly hosted several large events, such as ONS, which is hosted biannually in Stavanger with approximately 60 000 visitors.
- Stavanger, known as the 20 – minute – region, has the advantage of short distances between the city, airport, beaches, mountains and the fjords.
- The Stavanger Region is home to the world famous Lysefjord, Pulpit Rock and Kjerag.
