    Why Aberdeen?

    Aberdeen is home to the headquarters of many multinational companies and is justly named, Europe's Energy Capital. The city also lays claim to innovation and expertise in many other industries including technology, food and drink and life sciences. The city remains a major destination for international commerce and business tourism.

    Aberdeen International Airport is the gateway for more than three million travellers a year from 50 destinations. It has one of the world's busiest commercial heliports, transporting more than 500,000 passesngers in support of the North Sea oil and gas industry. The sirport is currently under significant redevelopment.

    Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire offer an excellent range of 3-5 star accommodation - from 5* city centre stylish hotels and county house retreats to campus rooms and traditional B&Bs.

    The Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) is the second largest purpose built conference centre in Scotland. The centre offers plenary capacity for 2,000 delegates, 7,320m2 of exhibition space, a 440 seat auditorium and 20 additional breakout rooms. The AECC has hosted a number of international events including Offshore Europe for over 40,000 delegates, All Energy, World Renewable Energy Congress, International Food Microbiology Confrerence and the OCEANS Conference. In 2019, the current AECC will be replaced with a brand new and larger Exhibition Centre.
